April 15, 2009, talkhousemag.com {youtubejw}M6x0vRlpaXE{/youtubejw} This one Twitter tool that I would strongly recommend to new businesses. FlashTweet is great for seeing who you are following and who is following you. However, the best and coolest feature that this tool offers is Mass Following. You can follow up to 100 people and entities at a time with one click. I figured this tool would be good for new business because they can find one person in their area and follow all of his followers. It'll be the fastest way |

April 2, 2009, talkhousemag.com YellowPin is a new media software product that keeps you in touch with your friends and colleagues. It's hot. It's another form of Facebook status updates, except they've made it easier for the user because you can update your whereabouts from your phone. For instance, if you're heading to lunch in Georgetown you'd text, "Grabbing a bite at Five Guys on Wisc." So, if anyone sees that update and is in the area, then they'll meet up with you. Here's a summary of some of the new features that they've added: (1) You can now create groups of your friends under one name, for easier texting on the go. (2) You can now send your YellowPin updates to your Facebook Status and News Feeds if you want, which is a great way to stay in touch with people who aren't on YellowPin yet. (3) You can now block any friends that you choose, so you have even more control over who you share YellowPin with.

April 2, 2009, talkhousemag.com SnagFilms is spreading the word of talented profile documentary filmmakers with its easily "snag-able” archive of streaming, full-length features, absolutely FREE. SnagFilms, a site that contains more than 600 high quality documentaries, allows viewers to watch these free titles without downloading any special software or creating a profile. Today, finding distribution partners for documentaries is nearly impossible. Thousands of documentaries about incredible causes don't have the opportunity to be seen. SnagFilms helps worthy films be seen by a much larger audience than ever expected upon their original release. For all of the blockbuster documentaries like Super Size Me, Hoop Dreams, and Dig!, there are literally hundreds of excellent, underappreciated films that resonate with almost every interest. All 600 titles feature the ability to embed the film, or "Snag". Audiences can also create their own five-film personalized widget. This process takes approximately 2 minutes to complete. There will be one for Talkhousemag.com shortly.
SnagFilms provides more opportunities than sitting back and relaxing to a film. SnagFilms gives viewers the ability to donate to causes that relate to their films, with easy clicks. This is what SnagFilms calls Filmanthropy. Check it out! |

March 10, 2009 talkhousemag.com eSwarm Makes Deals Happen So a friend of mine pointed out a relatively new company to me called eSwarm.com. It's kind of like a more hip eBay. Actually, it definitely is. The site is made up of both buyers and sellers. A buyer doesn't have to bid on a product and just wait anymore, he/she can search a variety of swarms to join or you can create your very own swarm. Similarly, the seller's potential market of consumers becomes larger. eSwarm.com is a user generated website where like-minded people come together for free to make their deal happen! Anyone can join or start a swarm, which is a group of people who have the same interest in a product or service but want it at the best possible price. eSwarm Inc. was first founded in Palo Alto, CA in 2005, and is now located in Boulder, Colorado. eSwarm is where buyers and sellers come together to establish a more efficient marketplace through the proven economic theory of economies of scale. Anyone can join or start a swarm for free once they |
