Yesterday, testifying before the Senate Subcommittee on Communications, Technology and the Internet, Arianna Huffington proclaimed that traditional media has been lagging behind in terms of technology and “The Big Picture.” She suggests that traditional media and online journalists like her are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Huffington gets her message across tirelessly stating that traditional journalists are doing a sub par job. Online journalists have obsessive compulsive disorder, “they chomp down on a story and stay with it, refusing to move off it until they’ve gotten down to the marrow.”

If you’re reading today’s newspaper, then you’re reading old news.  In order to get the freshest of news you must jump onto a viral media outlet, i.e. a website.  In favor of HuffPo, I agree that online articles are great because they are being updated relentlessly throughout the day with comments to match.  The daily paper on newsstands doesn’t have the same flavor.  Online media is hot, plus you can easily fact check items.
